Location: Teoretical project

Client: SINTEF

Project status: Sketch project

Løvseth is a participant in a research project on wood constructions at NTNU/SINTEF named WOODSOL, where the main objective is to develop bearing constructions in wood instead of concrete for housing and office buildings, which results in significantly lower CO2 emissions from the construction process. The project has 6 new doctoral degrees in construction, fire security and noise insulation. Another project at SINTEF named ZEN calculates the environmental differences and CO2 emissions from similar plans but different construction systems like wood and concrete. Contact persons at NTNU/SINTEF are professor Kjell Arne Malo, professor Anders Homb and research leader Petra Rüther.
