It is crucial to take part in the green change and we want to be at the forefront. We are committed to the environment in each project and are constantly working to raise our knowledge. We have checklists that make us aware of which measures we can take and the opportunities we have for choosing or recommending sustainable solutions in projects. We consider rebuilding of existing buildings to be positive environmental measures, and the office has good experience with this. Løvseth is also a participant in a research project on wood constructions at NTNU named WOODSOLS, where the main objective is to develop bearing constructions in wood instead of concrete for housing and office buildings, which results in significantly lower CO2 emissions from the construction process. The office’s environmental-responsible architect ensures continuous updating the others in the office and has lectured on environmentally-friendly projecting, environmental management and lifecycle assessment in the architectural association’s ECOBOX.
